Bio

I strive to empower pupils from an early age to develop strategies that empower them to become confident, independent and informed learners. I am inspired by Science and how adopting systematic approaches can lead to deeper understanding.

I most enjoy working alongside colleagues to solve problems and create a legacy of learning. A project that is important to me is our Cochee 2 Coach programme. I have seen some great success with how learners have made progress. This includes parents, pupils as well as Secondary School and degree level students. This success has been acknowledged on a national scale.

I have an extensive knowledge of curriculum, development. I have led all core subjects on a whole school level as well as mentored every subject leader to design and develop their curriculum plans. My mentoring role inspires me as much as it does my colleagues and I enjoy managing our quality assurance cycle and making tweaks to planning to make it as relevant and impactful as possible.

Mayflower is a special place where I am empowered to develop the areas of leadership and learning that I am most passionate about.

What I am reading

Science and street art blow my mind! I love keeping track of scientific and technological progress and all the great new ideas and innovations the world has to offer. I AM… Heads Up - Looking Forwards.

 

What am I Researching?

I am always studying. My Coachee2Coach model of mentoring inspires me and as well as supporting students from Secondary School and University, I am also starting my journey towards gaining a PHD in education.
