Quality Assuring
As a Subject Leader, it is essential that all staff are empowered and confident in delivering a rich and ambitious Art curriculum to our pupils. To enable this, teaching and learning of pupils and staff is carefully quality assured throughout the school year. The key focus is on modelling, capturing, correcting and celebrating teaching and learning with staff and pupils.
Ensure and Assuring
Art workshops for staff are carefully curated and planned for throughout the school year to ensure staff are confident in the teaching process and outcomes, along with identifying key misconceptions that may arise ahead of time. Staff from both Mayflower Academy and Ford Primary come together to quality assure the curriculum and create their final piece. This enables staff to carefully plan for and adapt teaching and learning before beginning the unit of work. Not only does this quality assure the Art Curriculum but staff are given the opportunity to develop their own subject knowledge, receive instant feedback and understand how to move learning forwards.
