North Prospect Library Visits

As part of our strategy to encourage reading for pleasure, we make sure pupils take regular visits to a host of new reading spaces and libraries. Our local library is North Prospect Community Library. It is less than half a mile walk from our school and is therefore an integral part of our local community. Visiting this library has become part of our routine. Below you will find updates of our visits, trips and experiences of meeting authors.

Signing Up

Every pupil is signed up as a member of our local library. Pupils have full access to the space and its huge stock of texts. Pupils also take part in story time sessions and meet authors. Paired reading also a highlight of each visit.

Mayflower Library Visits

Once a week, every child has the opportunity to visit our school library to choose their weekly Reading for Pleasure books. During their library time, the children have the opportunity to explore the books we have on offer, read with their peers and discuss the books they took home the previous week.
