Once a week we get together online (TEAMS) to celebrate and share the books that we are reading, authors who are inspiring us and our love of reading. All pupils and parents are welcome to join us 7pm every week on a Thursday evening. 

Microsoft TEAMS invites will be sent to families each week. Numbers of pupils attending are growing. Fireside|Sunshine Read is an all inclusive and fun event for pupils to get online and have fun. We advise parents to monitor the sessions and stick around in the background taking responsibility for the behaviour of their children. Safety first, but given the TEAMS sessions are run via our school online TEAMS account, it is deemed super safe.

Each week on Fireside|Sunshine Read we aim to also meet a different author. This is a chance for children to go beyond their books and safely chat with Mrs. Hern and a real life author. It is a chance to ask questions about story telling, the writing process and what makes the author tick.
