Together we can...live, laugh, love and learn!
Bio
I joined Mayflower Community Academy in 2018. From the moment I entered the school, I was greeted by many smiling faces, there was a relaxed atmosphere and I felt an immediate sense of belonging. Being in a school which is focused on community and collaboration is very refreshing.
I am lucky enough to have the role of a PPA teacher, where I get to cover a range of classes and teach many interesting subjects. I work alongside the class teachers and their support staff to deliver a range of subjects including PE, French, Phonics, Mathematics and Reading.
I am passionate about Physical Education and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy finding physical activities where children can learn fundamental skills, work as a team, achieve their personal best and strive to improve.
This year I have started a Half Marathon Club and I hope that year by year this grows into a successful running community.

Why Mayflower?
For me, it was the community ethos of 'Together we can.' Also, the undeniable commitment, energy and engagement from staff and pupils. Together we can....achieve anything!
What I am reading
I am currently reading the novel 'Anne of Green Gables.' It is about the life of an orphaned girl who is adopted. Anne has the most vivid imagination and marvellous adventures.
What am I Researching?
I have just started researching outdoor learning. I am specifically looking at how forest school can help children improve their physical skills, self-confidence and emotional awareness.
