"Together we can...uncover our love for reading".

Bio

I started my journey at Mayflower 6 years ago, and I still wakeup everyday ready and willing to create learning and experiences that children will remember.

My role is to support and develop pupil's language capabilities and to progress their reading and writing. I aim to give pupils quality opportunities to develop their language by teaching small groups and 1:1.

I don't only support pupils by explicitly teaching strategies to read but also strengthen pupils ability to comprehend what they have read. By doing this, I aim to help pupils to develop a deep love of reading.

Every child here has access to a plethora of reading materials, which will lead to them finding their love for reading. I am proud to work in a school that has invested so much into providing all pupils with so many high quality texts. To keep up to date, I am a national book award judge for the UKLA

I find joy in listening to children read. I also adore the process of reading to children. There is no better escapism than a book.
